I think they did it to crack down on the really loud bikes/harleys but they had to also include trucks/cars so it was not as if to single them out. I think the hard part will be inspection now but I'll find out soon enough. I think for the most part if your not being a dink they will leave you alone but never know when your going to come across and Ahole cope either.

Got this today, cant wait for it go to go on. Edelbrock Victor 5.8 intake is coming on monday

got the head back a few days ago. put everything together yesterday. What a long hot crappy day in the garage. My body is sore and tired from working on the car.
Fired it up last night. Running rough, which could be the timing not being adjusted yet. Also sounds like an exhaust leak. Too tired to mess with it today so I don't know when it will be done:(. Who knows I might have to tear into it again to find out where the noise is coming from :notnice:.
Travis I have been using ARP bolts not the studs. From what I understand it can be a pain using the studs on the driver's side. When you want to remove that head it makes it more difficult due to the brake booster being in the way.

Good deal Bryan!! Glad to see its all good now.

Almost had mine up and running today but I got the wrong gaskets for the upper to the lower intake for the Victor 5.8. I ordered the right ones and they should be here on weds. Once thats done I'll be taking in in to have the clutch done and should be good to go the rest of the summer then.

yeah me too. Sucks it was down for about 2 weeks. Took it out for a spin today and everything seems to be normal. Time to change the oil, its been a couple of years. No not a typo :rlaugh:. Hey its synthetic and it doesn't get driven much.

I dont drive mine a ton either but I still change it every year even w/ Mobil 1 in it :)

Almost done, I'll finish it up when I get back fishing from my dads on thurs when the gasket for the upper to the lower will be here, then off to AAA to have them put the clutch in. Just not a project I want to tackle right now. I think it looks pretty bad ass, even more so then the TFSR

Thanks :nice:

Ive been meaning to ask if you want to go to the track but my clutch went out on me not long after the BE show. Just now getting around to getting it put in this week. I'll be going to Tasca day on the 14th/15th. Are you going?

I still haven't installed the Flaming River switch yet. In fact, the only thing I've really done is to get the switch from Jegs. I still need to get the 2 gauge wire & terminals to run the alternator circuit.

Everything else is done though and the car runs really well, anxious to see what it will trap at now. It has been pretty consistant at 109-110mph in the past, even back when Mike ran it.

Tasca is out for me, my neice is getting married on Saturday the 14th. Family will be here from all over the country so I'm sure I'll be tied up Sunday also.
