AC delete? pics!

Im thinking about removing the inoperable AC on my car using the pulley setup from LMR, anyone else done this? got pics of it?

Just fix the a/c system. You'll like it in the summer.It doesn't use that much power,and comfort is a good thing when you're passing idiots in their ricers while it's a hundred degrees outside, and 65 in the car.

I just run the $40 ford racing delete setup. Just relocates the PS pump higher.

However, i hate not having AC and will be reinstalling my AC once i take the dash out and replace the evap core with a new one

I run the same on as 5L5. I don't like having a dead pulley up top, plus it makes for a much cleaner look. As you can see, that is important to me

Would it be possible its taken from a A/C delete pulley kit? The top and bottom pics of the two different cars the pulley looks the same.

Those pulleys are different. The one being questioned of its origin look a lot like the Wazee pulley to me.

The system has never worked as long as ive owned the car, about 14 or so years, so im going to ditch the dead weight. If its that hot then i dont drive it anyway. besides, i cant imagine that ac would help much in my drafty old vert

Here's mine. The first is right before the new lines were installed for the a/c. The second is before I re-installed everything for the a/c....

I have replaced the upper intake and TFI plug since these shots were taken.

Hey slow90coupe, you had any problems with that pulley setup?
anyone know how much everything but the condenser (that is the radiator looking thing, right) weighs? im going to have to leave it, my trany cooler is strapped to it for now.

I also have this pulley and the bearing sounds like a dying owl. I am going to the Ford racing delete. I've heard from many people that the bearing has went on them a couple times.

Every ac delete thread I see only talks about the pulley set up, but never any solutions on how to deal with the holes/pipes in the firewall. I cut the firewall and fabricated a metal panel to take care of it the right way... just wondered what others are doing about the evaporator pipes. It'd be nice to see some pics of that area instead of just the pulleys.

I just capped mine off, if I ever decide for whatever reason that I want to put AC back in (not likely, but I suppose it could become possible years down the road) the last thing I'm going to want to do is put all of that stuff back in. I have a polished cover for that whole area anyway, so it's not like it sticks out at all.

The condenser weighs a little more than nothing. They are super light.
