As much as I do not recommend them to anybody, I HAD to install one in my buddies dads 59 Ranch Wagon. He just had it reupholstered so i had to remove all these new panels and rewire everything to add a amp. The radio was wired to the dual dash speaker but it had Kenwood speakers in the rear the guy did not connect. It sounded like CRAP, honestly. No highs, very midrange-e sound. I added a Phoenix Gold 400 watt 4 ch. amp. It was louder, but still sounded like crap.Still no highs. Added a 9V line driver, better but still crap. Added a EQ, no luck. Cant boost a frequency that wasnt there to begin with. Theres is no way in hell that radio is 220 wats either, couldnt drive the dash speakers. Then the LCD goes out
Wired in a Pioneer i had to show the sound difference-amazing.
I hate these radios, now even more.
