It varies by company and so do their restrictions. This has been a LONG discussion before. State Farm had great classic rates, but I bundled and saved enough elsewhere without recreational use only and a mileage restrictions elsewhere and still got a stated value. Shop around for what you need.

No unrepaired damage, parked inside a locked place, proof of a daily driver (goes with no commuting), proof of modification values are other serious possible questions. No DWI, texting or nose picking while driving are also possible, but not as likely to be asked.

The right answer to what you need is as complicated as picking the right camshaft - decide how you want to use it and call the specialists at several places.

That's the criteria i've found as well. Needed to be garaged (storage unit ok) and need to prove you have a 2nd vehicle and this will not be your primary mode of transportation. They may ask for proof of the stated value, and have different teirs for stock car, or modified. Some companies have age restrictions (on the car) as well.

I also have Grundy, similar criteria as mentioned by others. 20 years old, garage kept, second registered car, clean driving record, Minimal mileage. At a $147 a year I was willing to jump threw all the hoops they had, here in Jersey bundled with my two other vehicles it would of cost me $700 bucks a year for standard insurance.

It's $1800/yr for me to insure my Mustang under a normal insurance policy. Not even stated value either.

Add in my two daily driver's and it's expensive to drive :(

Choosing the right insurance for your Classic or Antique car is the best way to protect your huge investment from damages or loss. Most of the insurance companies like Haggerty, Grundy, and LelandWest have their own eligibility requirements.

Below are the basic eligibility criteria mandatory for your classic car:

· If your classic car is ten years or older
· Must be rare or of special historical interest with limited production.
· If the car is 25 years old or more, it falls under antique category.
· Your car must be limitedly used, such as exhibitions, club activities, and carnival or special events only.
· You need to store, maintain and preserve your antique or classic car in appropriate storage like residential garages, private buildings, or rental storage units.

Drivers Eligibility:
· Must have a good driving record.
· At least 10 years driving experience.
· No teen drivers on the policy.
· Proof that you use another car for daily transportation

Coincidence that you just happen to be an employee of the exact insurance company highlighted in your post....and that this also happens to be not only your first but your only post?

Please see to it that this is the only thread in which your company info is solicited, or your tenure here will be short lived....along with any information provided.

Thank You

Now you have one accurate answer, you can decide on if the restrictions are too much. You always try to save 15% in 7 minutes or whatever with bundling with other companies.
