Anyone know what happened to RankMyRide.com?

I've been unable to connect to the site for days, and I'm wondering if I need to start looking for a new place to host my stang pics. I'd hate to have to go back to using Cardomain. I've googled it, etc, and can't find any info on what happened, just dead links. Anyone here in the know?

    Air/vaccuum noise inside dash?

OK, I pored through the stickies, service bulletins and did a search, and I must be the only one to have encountered this because I got nothing... hopefully somebody will know what I'm talking about. It's actually my fathers car, an '01 GT, and I noticed this when driving it up to the airport to...

Recaro vs. Flowfit- educated opinions wanted

So, I've decided not to put my Corbeau CR1's from my old GT into my '93 Cobra, I want to do something nicer and easier to live with. No complaints about the CR1's, but then, I have a 32" waist. As it turns out, most of my passengers are a little larger, and if you're bigger than 33" then forget...

Anyone have a no-start/battery problem after Grant steering wheel?

All I can think is that I did installed it wrong and there's some kind of draw from the horn or something- or screwed something else up during the install to cause similar symptoms.

Cold air blowing on passenger floor

This is a problem I had with my '79 Capri, my '84 GT, my '89 LX, my '91 GT, and my '93 Cobra is doing it too. I'm assuming it's a Fox problem, if not a Ford problem. I did a search and only came up with cold air intakes, so I'm posting this thread in hopes that someone else knows WTF causes...

    Light weight sub enclosures

Well, I pulled all my stereo crap out of my GT, but I'm hesitating on putting it in my Cobra. The main thing is the weight, those MDF boxes are heavy. So I got to thinking: when I worked in car audio years ago, we frequently put plexiglass windows in high end sub enclosers. Assuming it's lighter...

    HVAC controls retrofit

I have a set of the arguably better looking HVAC controls with trim besel from a '93 I'd like to put in my wife's '89, anyone know if it'll work before I go ripping hers out? I know it will bolt in, just wondering about the plugs on the back. If it wont just plug in and work, it isn't worth it...

    gas pedal differences...?

Besides the obvious completely different look of the two, is there any reason why a gas pedal from an auto wouldn't work in a stick car? My (5 spd) pedal is broken on one side at the pivot so it flops from side to side... pita. I have a gas pedal out of an AOD car which looks pretty stupid, but...

    MAC Prochamber: HTS vs. Durablack

Since Durablack is relatively new and the search only pulled up one post about it (question with no replies) I'll assume that all the posting about it was since Jan 3  and not feel remotely bad about posting this: It's time to put a new mid pipe in the wife's little LX, and I'm...

    Is Stangnet running ok?

Are we/have we been hacked? I'm not having a technical problem with my 5.0, but with this site. It keeps causing my browser (Netscape 7.1) to freeze up. ctl+alt+del gives a report that toggles between running/not responding. I surfed for hours other places last night and this morning with no...

Heh! re-reading some back issues and...

Just came across this in an old CARtoons magazine, Dec. 1986. Looks like they were a few years off on the body prediction, but righter than they could've known. Not crazy about the '05 style yet, still waiting to see one live and decide if it's a winner or not.

    Got my Kona!

:nice: :nice: :nice: Not to re-open the age old argument, but I put this in tech because TECHnically, I believe this is the best shifter made. Period. Anyway, I've had my Pro5.0 for quite awhile, and even with my long arms I have to admit the reach is out there for 1-3-5. I had a Tri-Ax...
