351W w/ TFS R, will valve covers fit?

Are you using the TFS Twisted Wedge heads as well? I have a similar set-up but with those heads and am using a 1" phenolic spacer. I and am using aluminum cobra valve covers from ford racing. Fits fine.

Oil backing up through breather on rt. side.

I own a 93 cobra. I know, whoopee. I have a breather on the filler spout instead of the rubber hose going to the throttle body. Problem I'm having is that there is oil, not much, coming back up through the breather. Now I was told that a galley in the head may be blocked and to use a...

    Airtube question

Thanks. I was figuring either that or a procharger. How much of a hp gain should I expect with an s-trim? I'm thinking of swapping out the h-pipe for an x instead. Havent decided yet. Kinda like the backpressure sound but is that backpressure bad for the valves. Read that on another site.

    Airtube question

nevermind all Ansered my own question. Now that I've rid myself of the shorties I've also gotten rid of low-end power. Now it's in mid-range with the longtubes. Just gotta save up for that supercharger now. anyone have any feedback on those?

    Airtube question

I just installed a set of long-tube bbk's on my 93 cobra only because the left side mac shorty was burning a hole in the #3 sparkplug wire boot. Regardless I had a heat shield on it. Anyways, I also went with the offroad h-pipe which I had laying around that has no inlet for the airtube...

    Firing & Clutch Problems

Yeah, I checked to make sure that all were on all the way and all checks out fine. I was told that since the boot is so close to the header that it might be arking off of it since the currant flows on around the wire and not through the center. I was also told to try some dielectric grease in...

    Firing & Clutch Problems

Another problem I'm having that I forgot to mention before is that once in a while my car will start to misfire alot but if I adjust the #3 plug wire, on the engine side and is fully pushed onto the plug, it will run fine. I've changed wires(Ford Motorsport 9mm and plugs(Autolite Platinums)...

    Long-tube headers on a `93 Cobra

I have a 93 Cobra and was contemplating on swapping out the current equal length shorties on it now with a set of long tube ceramics that I have from bbk. Only problem is that these long tubes that I have were from a previous 351W swap project stang that I was working on. I was told that since...

    Bad misfire or something///need help

I bought a 93 Cobra last year and it ran fine with the exception of a little miss which I figured was because of the #3 wire melting on the header. Fixed that problem and put new plugs in it. Had to put a catted x pipe on it for inspection and it ran fine then also for the first couple of...

Annoying miss problem,, need some help

I thought the same thing with the coil so I put an MSD Blaster in it. The weather hasn't been really permitting so I haven't been outside working on the car like I'd like to. I haven't taken the car out since I put the new coil in it but the miss is still there at idle. The miss is constant I...

Annoying miss problem,, need some help

I've replaced the plugs and the wires and I still get a miss after the car warms up. Not as soon as I start driving it but maybe about 5-10 minutes later. I just can't figure it out. Could it possibly be the coil? The one that's on there now is called "Screamin' Demon" and is...

    Xhaust Problems for Inspection

I have a 93 Cobra. I don't have any idea what brand x-pipe is under the car but it is an off-road app. I just purchased the BBK x-pipe w/high flow converts and that will pass me on emissions but I am worried about one thing. I've done some homework on these and I've read quite a few reviews...

    Noise still unknown

I've changed the oil twice now and the noise is still there. Like I said, there isn't anything hitting off of the valve cover, on passenger side, and the car is running fine. I'm worried that I may be losing some power due to whatever it may be though. It sounds to me like a piston slapping...

    Xhaust Problems for Inspection

Xhaust prob solved Thanks for the input but I figured out what I'm going to do. I'm just gonna find a stock h-pipe and put that on for the visual inspec. I have long tubes and an off road h-pipe to match to exchange that with afterwards. As long as I keep the mileage below 5k/year I'll be...

    Xhaust Problems for Inspection

Well forget about the engine noise because now I have another problem. My car won't pass emissions with the current exhaust on it. I presently have a 21/4" off road x-pipe in the middle and I'm gonna need to get another x-pipe or H-pipe with high flow cats. Anybody have any input on which is...

    Noise Unknown

I just recently purchased a `93 Cobra and it runs excellent. Well I shouldn't say excellent I guess because the #2 plug wire was melted on the header, causing a huge miss. Problem is that I just changed the plugs from the regular Autolites that were in it to Autolite Platinums and put new MSD...
