My 99 Cobra had a similar clunk in 5th gear when you let off the gas and pressed it again. I think with the IRS you get the slop from the driveshaft u-joints plus the slop in the halfshaft u-joints together that adds up to make the clunk. I haven't noticed in on my 03 though. Only 2600 miles...
I agree. I had the Steeda pulleys on my 99 Cobra and they worked great. No voltage drops at all. I also think they are SFI certified. You don't wanna go cheap on these because the crank pulley and balancer are 1 unit.
I used the KB IRS torque brace on my 99 cobra. It worked pretty well. It came with polyurethane bushings though. I think they have alum ones out now. I don't know about them. It was about $150. I'd say it was worth it.
What do you guys think of the WMS CAI? Is it worth the money? I know it comes with a Pro-M 95mm MAF, stock is 90mm, is it necessary? Does anyone have dyno numbers? Thanks.
I just bought an 03 Cobra and I noticed that when I get on it the boost gauge pegs hard. I thought stock was supposed to be 8 psi max. Is the stock gauge just not accurate or what? The car has 2400 mi on it and appears to be totally stock except for removed air silencer and replacement...
Don't forget, there is a $3000 rebate on Mach 1's & GT's til 3/31. I've seen them around here for $24,300. That's invoice price $27,300 or so minus the rebate.
I've got the Tri-Ax in my 99 Cobra and I love it. I can't say about the Pro-5.0 because I haven't used one, but stay away from the B&M Ripper, it's junk. From what i've heard it's mostly personal preference cause they're both good.
