Is it possible to buy the 00 Cobra R 5.4L Engine anywhere? Even from maybe ford? Anyone have any links/sites, etc. I know the 5.4L Triton V8 the F-150s used to have was a SOHC, was the Cobra 5.4L SOHC also or DOHC? I want to say it was DOHC because it was a cobra.

Anyway, im not really interested in swapping to a 5.4, but it did peak my interest. Anyone know where to get one or how hard a swap would be?

nope, Im pretty sure they only made enough for the number of Cobra Rs made.

You could build a 5.4L 4v engine. There are stroker/bored over 4v engines making in the 500s all motor. here is a good site that shows what a 4v 5.4 can do.

The engine would cost more than your car. Just put a blower on your car.

5.4 L  the navigator 5.4 with subtle changes. i remember that they had to indent the towers on engine bay to make the motor fit.

ive aways dreamt about stuffing a 427 under the hood.

The navi engine is similar..But the cams, intake, and heads are all different.

You can now buy the equivalent of everything except for the intake..But you can get a Sullivan or the Reichard (when it finally comes out) and be better anyway.

That is cool as hell man! Maybe one day the 5.4 32v swap will be as common in SN95's as 351w swaps are for foxes. Hey definitely keep us updated! I love engine swaps, especially 4v 5.4s!

Wow! Thats an amazing and unique combo under the hood of your car. I have a couple questions:

Did you use the computer off of the Navi? If not who did the tune?

Will the stock Navi manifolds fit?

How many crank bolts does the stock Navi crank have? (Which Manual Trans. are compatible)?
