17x9 front with coilovers

Anyone with Strange Engineering front coilovers and 17x9 rims??? I am wanting to make sure they clear with no rubbing issues. What dimensions and offset on the wheel and what size tire can I get by with and have no troubles?

What year is your Mustang. The fender size changed a bit between 87 and 92 to allow for the bigger 16" wheels.

I have some AFS wheels on mine with 275/40/17 and they rubbed some of the coils (tires did). I had to put spacers behind the wheels and got rid of the rub, but dont like how it pushed the wheel out and made it rub and tear up the fender extensions.
Now looking to get new rims and change to 17X8's in the front.
