yep. I thought the race was going to be much closer. Not to mention I was fighting with the steering wheel because it needs to be aligned, and the car has a bent frame so when I was braking it then front right tire was hitting the fender. :rlaugh::rlaugh:

Very Nice. I would have to cry if a sixer beat a GT. I know power is around same but still c'mon...
BTW, was that in Salinas, CA?

    It's still a V6 though.

Don't get me wrong. I know about how the Mustang is here because of the V6 Mustang...but IMHO, the only Mustang worth owning is a V8 Mustang?

Would you buy a v6 corvette?? No! because the whole point of the car is the v8 engine!! Same thing with the Mustang. There's nothing like driving a torquey V8 around and hearing the exhaust gurgle. V6's just aren't the same

New ones may be different, but here is my story. I was in search of a SN95 Stang, gonna go with a V6 to save money and get better gas mileage. Ended up with a sweet deal on my 96 Mystic Cobra, so went that route instead. I am getting 20-27 mpg with it and enjoying the power of the V8. V6 would have gotten about the same gas mileage, about the same up front cost, and also a much less resale value (not compared to the mystic, but to a V8 Mustang in general). I completely agree, the V6 made Mustangs, but that is a part of history. Unless Ford does something like Chevy with the V6 Camaro and gets decent power out of the V6.

its called torque! plus that gt probably weights less than that v6. Also I raced one down @ the drag strip he had full bolt-ons, shift kit, and some nittos and he ran a 14.7. He got me off the line(stock tires crapola ), but the power of the v8 kicked in. Video link below

horsepower numbers look great in magazines (and the interwebz)...but torque is what moves you :nice:
