400 Hp or 500hps

The car is going to be a show car and driven on weekends, but i want it to have serious balls!! Im most likely getting another stang for another project but this one is to perfect to beat on

Just do a H/C/I and turbo your 302. A 347 isn't necessary to hit big numbers. I wouldn't go more than 500rwhp on the stock block personally though.

Well when you are near the 500hp mark you are starting to push the limits on the stock block. Plus when you get to the 500hp mark the fuel system starts becoming a problem, etc. etc. Personally if it was going to be a weekend show car I'd do a 351W based 427.

347 in my car with AFR 185 heads, performer rpm II intake, and .565 lift cam... 11:1 comp... 70 mm throttle body... custom tune... still have stock exhaust manifolds and i have 380rwhp/400rwtq... it's on a 5 speed so to the engine thats about 450/470 engine power...

For a nice street 347ci, 400RWHP is obtainable with out going crazy but it comes down to budget, drivabilty and usage... Then you can powder coat and add all the bling to make it a nice show piece.

Do you have any parts you want to re-use?

FWIW- I did a 10.7:1 comp, 333ci, stock AFR185, Stock un touched Cobra intake, RNH custom cam and on our stingy mustang dyno it made 383rwhp/404rwtq. The car is the perfect street car and the tq curve reminded me of a big inch windsor, it drives great, he pulls on his buddies 03 Cobra..lol Its also a monster at the shows, the engine is fully detailed and beautiful. Dont get to caught up in numbers, ....
