I was thinking tonight "doesnt happen much" but anyway has anyone ever tried or seen a working 5.0 EFI with Tunnel Ram? And if so you think the emissions people like seeing a huge mainfold in your car? I'm thinking about doing this when i get the funding for my new motor in the spring time. I would think if you had your EGR valve and all your other Emission crap hooked up you would be ok with emissions. CHP sells these power elbows and i think if you used two of them and then put some piping to them to make like a "Y" you could mount your throttle body and your EGR on there. "Not saying you probably gain tons of horse power outta this, or saying if it would work" But just something different than seeing the same ol "5.0 traditional style intake"

Weiand Makes this Tunnel Ram intake for a 302:

And some other Tunnel Ram EFI stuff along with the CHP site:

that would look seriously odd, and i think you'd have to have 2 TBs, one for each elbow, and you'd have to somehow Y pipe them together like you said, unless you did the TB, then the Y, then the 2 elbows, but it would create this huge runner since you'd have the Y, 2 elbows, plus the tunnel ram before you ever get to the heads, so i'm not sure what kind of power you could get, if it didnt kill power altogether. It would definately be different though. Heck give it a shot.

I remember waaaaaay back ('96-'97) in one of the Mustang mags seeing a tunnel ram setup with two throttle bodies mounted up top on a 5.0. Seems like it might have been Mike Murillo, but I'm probably wrong about that. If it had worked worth a crap, they'd be selling them. :p

You could do one with no issues at all it is actually very easy, FAST system or other DFI/Speed Density system (no need for intake tubes or MAF), Accufab 4bl TB's and a sheetmetal or other intake of your choice fit for injection.

Very good point, Rick. I was thinking about way back when I saw that setup. Technology has come a long way since then, and the controllers you mentioned could certainly tame the driveability issues.

Yeah i've noticed that the stock 5.0 manifold is kinda like tunnel ram, but if i do this I want the old school type. Just still thinking about which way too run it. I'm acutally come up with a CAD design for a low rise tunnel ram. So we'll see what happens.
