5 lug conversion

i just picked up an 89 stang covert cheap. the guy had put in the 5 lug in the back and not the front.i want to upgrade the brakes seeing how there are none in there now.i want to go all disc 5 lug in the front. can anybody point me in the right direction as far as what i will need or a kit. i found some kits but they have the rear axle which i do not need. any help will be appreciated

You can use the whole spindle/caliper/rotor package from a SN95. This way you upgard to the better sealed bearing hubs in the front and gain more Ackerman steering. Just make sure you get the whole package. They sell them at stangparts.com and probably a lot of other places, including junkyards.

You can simply get cheap 5-lug studded rotors that are sized to replace the Fox body's stock rotors, or you can swap them out for SN95 spindles and braking system. Check out that site above for info.

Yes.

I believe you'd have to modify the rear of the car to fit 10.5" wheels on there, though!
