with the right cams, ssr intake, long tubes, pocket ported heads, ss frpp valves, imrc delete's, b heads can and do make 380rwhp. 300 rwhp is a breeze.

the fact is all motor c heads are superior in low end. but gt heads/fr500 not withstanding, b heads are just as good. the real disadvantage has more to do with chamber dynamics.

you have a head with 2 ports where only one port has fuel entering it. and that port is low velocity with the secondary open. most feel like it costs the b head 25rwhp/rwtq.

the recommendation i recieved from those who do this stuff was to optimize the primary and it will help that.
