98 motor in a 96?

Hey Guys,
I posted earlier on how my 1996 gt motor up and died, it did me right though 197k miles before she went splitsville..

I got a Awesome deal for a 1998 GT Motor (under 700) low miles and ready to go, how hard of a swap is that from the 96 gt motor to the 98? Direct replacement?

Yip! Just be sure to use your fuel rails and stuff!!

as I posted in your other topic. yes it's a direct swap. just won't be as fast as it would be with the 99+ motor.

No... it won't be as fast without the 99+ heads and intake. The rest is the same.
