From the article on this site, this photo warranted close inspection.

As we all know for 2010 Ford is touting a new interior, "more posh" for the Mustang.

From this GT500 spy pic we can see the dash topper is the same but gone are the round vents, and tiny twin tunnels for the gauges.

Replaced with what seems to be a polished trimmed more open twin tunnel design gauge cluster. With still squarish center area for info and secondary gauges. Seems to be something else polished and shiny to the left of the left gauge tunnel as well. ??

The vents being more "traditional" for sure. Also note the better integrated and swoopy center stack with NAV screen.

Honestly, I liked the more retro vents we have now.

The steering wheel is subtly different too, thicker. But the GT500 has traditionally had a different wheel than the GT. So that might not be what the GT gets.

You have better eyes than I. But I can make out part of what you are describing. At first glance, I think I have to agree that I like what we have now better. I wonder if they have included the Sync as an option?
I would hope that they run these changes by some Mustang fans before making them.

The 2010 interior is more styled like the '68. From what I've heard, it'll have the square vents in the middle, but round on the outside. Ford has put the round vents in our cars in 4 or 5 other ones, so it'll be nice to be a bit different. Also, I think it flows better, overall. I think you'll be happy with it when you see the whole thing.

Wow, a '68 with dash A/C - thats really rare!
Will the '10 also have the wood appliques'?

I don't care for the rectangular vents either. I don't think I would care for hips on the body if that happens.

I don't know about the square vents flowing better. I feel that I can adjust and have much more flexibility w/ the round vents than older style rectangular vents.

The current vents are one of the best features. Easy to use, open, close, direct, clean, just perfect.

Looks like they put radio controls on the steering wheel.
Also, the dials are shallower. This makes it easier to read them, but I tell you what I like about the current one: My wife can't see how fast I'm going... :)

But those multi-louver vents are hard to keep clean, get out the Q-tips...

Yeah I'm digging that steering wheel. Looks like the interior will be well done overall. I agree on the rectangle vents, a bit of bleh but if it goes with the motif then let them come.

Square vents look like what is coming out on the new F-150 so I guess all new Fords for the next round will be square vents. Round vents FTW.
