American Muscle short shifter...

Anyone running this on their car. I have one on my old stang which I gave to my little brother. Before I gave it to him I remember the center bushing broke on my and shifter got nasty sloppy. They replaced it np. But its been a bit now and I went to visit my mom the other weekend and drove the old stang around to see how it was running and noticed that chit was broken again. My little brother didnt even notice (hes not mechanically inclined). Now Im probably going to buy another for him because hes in college and has like no money so I want to help him out. But my question is. Is it a common issue with them? When it happened to me I wrote it off as my aggressive driving style but he drives like a biotch and it still broke???

Probably a Chinese Shifter. That bearing is made from recycled dish washers and roof tiles. You get what you pay for.

LMAO exactly why I have a Hurst shifter on my current stang. I love that thing. But I got that shifter for the old stang when I was still in school and on a budget, lol.

Pro5.0 all the way, I had MGW and steeda before, I like the Pro5.0 for their quality. I would pick Pro5.0 over MGW now i had both.

I've always been a big B&M Ripper fan. I've had a few others but I always come back to the Ripper.

If you are talking about the Pro ripper, I have never tried it, But i tried the ripper for T5, it was nice.

Too bad they dont make pro ripper for TKO

I've been very happy with my MGW on my TKO. I dought the Hurts that came with my TKO lasted even a year. How long did your last? or did you ditch it soon after buying the TKO?

I bought the B&M Ripper with the transmission. I only had the stock shifter on there for a very short time. I had a B&M Ripper on my T5, and I knew that's what I wanted. The stock shifter that came with the 3550 was not so good. Not sure if it's the same shifter they come with today.

steeda tri ax all the way only one i havent tried is the MGW but i love the tri ax so far.

I haven't tried an MGW either, but everyone on here seems to love them. The Tri-ax seemed a little too notchy for me when I first tried it.

Ya it is a lil on the notchy side but i like the feel of it I also used royal purple syncro max and that seemed to help.

Personal preference. I'm sure the Steeda one is good quality, and that's what really matters.
