Anyone know anything about Triptunes?

    Triptunes is listed in the 2006 Mustang accessory catalog. It is supposed to permit use of an MP3 player, such as an ipod, with the factory stereo. My dealer has no info and can't get it yet.
    Anyone know anything about price, availability, ease of installation, quality and if it will fit a 2005?

    I posted this in March and got no responses. I understand the TripTunes is available now or soon but is an fm modulator instead of a direct plug?????? And it apparently will not work with an 05????? Please, anyone know anything about this?? I'm beginning to think the best thing to do is scrap the Shaker 500 and install an Alpine that will accept my Sirius and my ipod.

    i have also heard that it will not work on an 05. :shrug: i dont know what ford was thinking on this one.

    I ordered trip tunes. It should work with any radio period, because its nothing more than a Scosche FM-MOD01 fm modulator, with a fancy toggle switch that sticks inside your glovebox. (Pictures avail. at Crutchfield.com) Be sure not to unplug the power to your Shaker if you install it yourself, otherwise you will have to have it reset by a Ford Dealer. Hope this info is helpful.

    I Installed that Alpine and am thrilled. I also installed Sirius and it is all better than factory.
