I purchased a new cabin filter for my 08 and the darn thing doesn't have any arrows on it designating flow direction. Any filter I've ever installed, be it auto, home, RV, whatever, it always had a direction marked on it if the filter could be reversed. Does it really make a difference? Maybe I'm paranoid, but it's 93 degrees in the garage and the car is apart. :D

Sparta, Don't remember what brand it was, it was a mid grade from RockAuto. Like I said in the OP there were no arrows indicating flow direction. The "ears" that fold back when installing it were the exact opposite in relation to the last fold of the pleats compared to the stock Ford one that I pulled out. After scratching my head for a while and wiping of the sweat from my face I figured it out. I installed it with the last fold of the pleat in the frame the correct way. Thanks for all the info though. I have cool clean air now and it's almost 100 here in Charlotte, NC.
