I have torch red which appears orange in some light. But I have seen candyapple red and redfire and to me they look almost the same.
I also have a 1966 convertible that is candyapple red and it is much darker.
So, beats me.
Most factory paints like that are a Clearcoat metallic over the specified color. So if you wanted you could do it over your torch red. Which I think it would be interesting.
i would imagine the tch red metallic would be freakin bright and bling-ee. I don't know any1 in the paint industry, so the cost would out weigh the result. good idea meng
They both have the metallic flake, but candy apple is darker. I'd say if you didn't know any better, you couldn't tell the difference unless the two were side by side! The same goes for the Sonic/Vista Blue. I never knew the difference until I parked next to a SB! The SB is darker (more purple?).
