Changing Base Idle 92 5.0 Engine

If you do set it higher than 750 RPM, the computer will no longer control the idle speed. That may or may not be a problem depending on your driving habits. It will also probably set code 13, but that should not affect how the car runs otherwise. It should not set the CEL (Check Engine Light) but may be present when you dump the codes.

A slight decrease in gas mileage and a slight decrease in engine braking when downshifting - it may not even be noticeable.

Basically you are disabling the ability of the computer to control idle speed. The IAC motor will always remain closed in attempt to lower the idle. You will also have a check engine code stored for it, but this code won't display the engine light in the dash

doesnt sound to nasty i dont wanna raise it but we will see how this alternator works, going with a 320 amp 6 phase alternator, puts out like 240 at idle and 320-340 by 2000 engine rpms
