With my automatic. Last night getting on the highway after work she acutely chirped third at 70mph, first time this has happened, I'm impressed. She seems to be running stronger since I added 2% more fuel at WOT and kicked the timing down by 2%. The good thing is she doesn’t ping any more. I can’t wait till I get long tubes and the HPS Hardballer intake. Will the intake and LT’s give me more low end torque? I want as much low end as possible out of her before having to go with cams or blower.
Haha I figured after having the car for almost three years it would happen sometime. I just wonder how much I'm putting down 240-50 rwhp The strange thing is the conditions where as bad as they could be, about 100% humidity and over 90 degrees out, I don't get it. When it's colder out I couldn't do that, actually I never have been able to do that.
i chirped third with week old, nitto nt555r's ( the drag radial )... Not to be cocky, but im nasty at shifting.
nice, but i cant say this enough but you need a stall converter....a whole new animal when its a stalled auto.
agreed, my 3200 10" helped a lot. But i would have gone around 3400 if i did it again, but i guess im glad i didnt go a lot higher the way gas prices are edit, but this doesn't help out 3rd gear, it should be locked-up well before then
Chalk up another one for having chirped in 3rd. Suprised me though when I did it since I still have the stock shifter and figured I'd miss it, but instead hit it nice and clean. Some of the responses just crack me up.
Psssh. I chirp 5th gear all the time. And when 5th gear tops out...I just start over from the begginning. Reverse. Now that's when you get some serious chirpage. Did I mention I'm in the market for a new tranny? PM me.
