Now imagine a nice Recaro strapped to one of those things
I tried to imagine that.... All I could see was the Recaro - with the rider still 5-point-harnessed in place- tumbling end-over-end in a cloud of dust behind Tink's horse.
Ol' chance is a quick mover, bred to run
-hard! (As I alluded, his bloodlines have been traced by
the Jockey Club back to the first and third sons of the legendary Man o' War. Yeah, the horse that World Products named their monster Windsor block after.) And he has a bit of an "attitude" - he only likes women, and very few of them. Men are usually just dead meat as far as he's concerned. Every time I ride him, I'm amzed that I'm not picking myself up and walking a mile or two back to his stall! Other guys have learned to walk
that particular walk
He is the equine equivalent of one of the original 427 Cobras; does one thing extremely well, but only if the driver is good enough.
Tink had put SVTCobra306 on Mrs StangDreamin's horse Rascal. He's an old show/barrel racing/steer roping horse Done pretty much everything in his 28 years; now he's comtent to plod along carrying the wife and kids around. He's got absolutely nothing to prove, and he knows it and acts accordingly.
My horse Dutch (the gray Arabian my son was riding) is my latest project. I can see evidence of some decent training in his mannerisms; but he's got some "handling issues" that I found out about after buying him. Nothing big and he does okay in an arena; but his confidence and controllability out in the field (out in the desert?) are items I'm in the process of addressing. Nothing that can't be fixed with a lot of time in the saddle. I'm confident he'll continue to improve.
Anyways, yeah. Any poor sucker strapped into a Recaro tied to Chance's back would be seriously
