Cowl vent leak/repair?

I been struggling hunting for interior water leaks and found one major one coming in from the lower cowl area dripping in at the lower bottom inside corner of my passenger side footwell. My question is what have anyone done to remedy this problem? What type of sealer have you used to seal the cowl vent area and do you seal inside the cowl or where the water is coming into the car?

That's an unusual place for a leak. Seeing as it is 28* and snowing here in PA I'd be more than happy to come and take a look at it for you!

I had a leak like this once on my 89, turned out I had to get the windshield resealed to get it to stop.
