Resource Discussion Craigslist Links

I'm more referring to people that buy some sort of classic and try to sell if for twice (or more) than they picked it up for without doing so much as moving it from one location to another. Dailys and/or beaters are a different story in my opinion.
Um...

Well...

That's the Sonoma in a nutshell if it hadn't accidentally become my beater when the Ranger's timing belt broke. Damned thing needs a control arm, blower motor, oil pan gasket, O2 sensor, coolant flush, and a few random other things... And is 4000 miles overdue for an oil change and counting. It's only getting the blower motor this week because I'm too spoiled to go without A/C these days.

Side note: I'm pretty sure the person selling it is nothing but a flipper. I had saved what looks to be the same car from another listing shortly after it posted, it's now marked as sold. The original price was $2500 - here's THAT listing....

Seller's Description

Here we have a 1974 Ford Mustang II Ghia for sale. This was the last year that Ford would not option the Mustang with a V8 (huh?? It was the ONLY year....) as the end of the oil embargo was on the horizon. However, even without the V8 it was named the Motortrend Car of the year. The one for you has been kept original and is a very nice example. Don't miss your chance to grab a clean and well cared for '74 Mustang II Ghia. The body on it is very nice as all the body lines flow seamlessly from front to back. We can also see that the fit of the doors, hood and trunk are all great as well. It's showcased by the Bright Red paint option that has been polished up to a beautiful finish for its age. The red is accented by the Black Vinyl Top option which was part of the Ghia Package. It also has side moldings and bumper treatments. Up front we can see the grill is very nice along with the headlight rings. It comes with dual sport mirrors, and we can see that all of the glass is in phenomenal condition. To finish off the stance it's sitting on the factory wheels with spoked style wheel covers and white line tires.Next, we will look at the interior of this Ghia. Everything looks to be close to stock and is in great condition for its age. It has the silver interior option that provides a stunning complement to the Bright Red. The side and door panels feature wood grain accents. It comes with Super Soft seats with buckets up front along with a console that houses the Automatic Shifter. This '74 still sports the Shag styled carpet and we can see that the headliner and visors are very nice and have a great fit still. The dash is in excellent condition and features the wood grain accents as well. All the gauges are beautiful along with the steering wheel. In the back seat the arm rest panels have some wear but are very nice considering their age. Inside the trunk is all solid and has the factory carpet treatment and spare. Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Ford. Under the hood it features the 2.8L V6 which was the upgraded option and the biggest option the Mustang II could get for the '74 model. The V6 is set up like it would have been from the factory with the standard valve covers and air cleaner. One of the better options for the '74 was the rack and pinon steering (I didn't realize that it was optional....:O_o:) set up which is also paired with Power Steering for this Mustang II. It also comes with Power Brakes with Disc on the front. The V6 engine is mated to the C4 Automatic Transmission and original rear end with 3.55 Gears. When we look under this Mustang, we can see that the floors and frame look to be all original and in great condition. Everything has been cleaned and detailed. For exhaust it has dual pipes and mufflers that flow out the back. This is a nice little driver on the highway, and you won't want to miss this stunning example of a '74 Mustang II Ghia.If we can help you in any way with questions or a specific picture, you can call our office at (865) 988-8088. Pics look good. Someone put a bunch into it. Is the rear bumper tucked and sectioned, or is it something else? Not digging the exhaust personally. 30k!.... idk, there are other cars I'd rather spend that kinda coin on.

It's a version of a roll pan available through Classic Auto Reproductions.

And I agree with the sentiment on the exhaust. I think it could be done so much better. I have half a mind to tinker with my car a little to get it running well enough to stop by and take a look at it just for :poo:'s & :D's. lol

That car looks familiar... I can't remember if it was on .net or one of the FB groups that I couldn't stand and quit after about a week.

It may have been in one to FB groups - wouldn't know as I quit them too. Couldn't stand some of the responses some people would give to things. But one of the pics has a Mecum sticker or a description or whatever in it, so I think that this place got it there and is trying to flip it. Maybe you saw it somewhere affiliated with Mecum?

I feel like I've been slacking! lol

Here's a pair that are advertised as being in Canton Georgia, asking $10k.

Seller's Description

There are 2 cars, the gray one has a 302 with manual transmission. Blue Mustang is a roller. Both cars have complete interiors. Brand new still in box gas tank, brand new bumper, with many additional parts. The gray has a slight bent frame, could possibly be corrected. Take both cars and make one really nice car. We started to prep engine to pull as we were going to do all new seals. No time for this project, have too many so selling some. Would make a great father/son project. I will not respond to "Is this available"
