Just a question, why does everyone push their utter crap?

I think I've heard 2 good stories about their stuff.

On a side note, I'm still battling my front speaker install...as in I'm trying to figure out where the hell to mount them.

I don't push them. I just state the fact that in 3 years, mine is still great.

    Kick panels

I am going thryu same think on my 66 coupe. I ordered ther kick panels that you cut yourself from American pony parts. I heard that the 6.25 inch speakers that are any good are too thick so I am going with a set of 5.25 inch ones.

I think he means the parts houses by "everyone", you Oz in turn would be 1 of the 2 "good stories". You have mstaken your role in this scenario.

I think the answer is that there ain't much out there other than and many of the suppliers do have a small clause to "contact the manufaturer" not them with complaints, so they don't particularly care about the satisfaction level so much and probably can't afford to not offer it when everyone else does? Just guessing as I too have wondered.

Been there done that, wasted money. The kick panels themselves would not fit into place PLUS the 5.25" speakers I have are to deep and hang out the back of them about 1/2".

    That's why

As for ozsum, pakrat is right, you are one of the 2 good stories. But I've heard their stuff personally and well...I'll more than happily continue to live and die by Kenwood (at least for bang for buck, if I were into competition and such I'd obviously go with something of much higher quality; for now I just like a decent sound system for cruising on my long road trips.) If you simply want to hear something I guess it's okay, especially for 65-66's where you don't want to cut the dash.

With all the negative thoughts about them, I'll agree that I was one of the lucky ones. But just like when I used to fly "Bush" planes, I'd rather be lucky than good any day. :D
