Now that you say that i remembered one of my dads friends has an ealry 70's duster with a 340 in it. The car was white with a black hood.

But that is what we grew up with, what was hot back in time, and even now. But these ricers are growing up in the *** age, where everyone likes these crappy *** cars.
So of course, they will do what all car people do, get louder exhaust, make their car look nicer (subjective opinion obviously, as they love stickers), etc.
they are just going with the times, just as we are doing to our cars.
