I'm taking my Mustang to the track for the first time and was curious to know if I'd run out of 3rd gear in the 1/4 mile? It's all stock.

I'm taking my Mustang to the track for the first time and was curious to know if I'd run out of 3rd gear in the 1/4 mile? It's all stock.

I have yet to run out of 3rd gear. With some more mods, maybe, but a stock car shouldn't. Our cars can go ~90mph in 3rd and stock V6's don't usually trap higher than 90, so you should be good.

he speaks the truth......unless your car climbs through the rpm range real quick like a blown car, you'll never top out 3rd in the 1/4.
