Finally after almost a year the new comb is going on the dyno to get tuned. I wanted to get it done last summer but unforeseen events came about and I could not get to it. This Saturday the Cobra will finally run the way it really should and I'll get the real power this combo should be making. The new comb is currently in my sig, also have Under Drive Pulleys.

The old comb consisted of a Cobra intake, 90MM Lighting Mass air Meter and a Crower 15512 camshaft. Im hoping to put down 380 at the wheels or something close to that, anything over I'll consider a gift. The old combo put down 340/390 according to the dyno graph from the previous owner.

The appointment is at 9AM if anyone wants to you can watch on the shops web cam. http://www.performance-dyno.com/New%20Site/Performance-Dyno.html The link for the web cam is on the left hand side and you can switch between the Shop cam and the Graph cam.

I'll post the results when I get back on saturday and for fun everyone can make guesses to see who gets closer. Im going to guess 380 RWHP and 405 RWTQ. Thats a little on my "high end" of what I expect but nothing wrong w/ thinking big [IMG]

Thought you had already put it on a dyno.

Its hard to say what it will do without the cam specs.

i think your cam is gonna make or break your power goals.....wether or not it meets it, it should still make good power

I'm going with 376rwhp and 398rwtq. Cobras and tubular intakes make wicked torque, so putting an "R" intake on I don't think you're going to get much of a torque gain at all, but ya never know! good luck man! If I remember this, I'll be watching

Good luck. You most likely have a cam mismatch as an R intake is much different then a tubular intake, but on the other hand KillerCanary had a cam mismatch and gained a ton of power so here's to you having a similar "problem."

I plan on being hung over, and thus I will not be tuning in to watch a car screaming on the dyno at 9 AM.

I also don't like your avatar, but fortunately other American's have been dying for hundreds of years so that you can express your disgust in them, in a free and open society.

The Cam is matched to the R intake and the AFR heads. Its a match not a mismatch. As far as my avatar I dont think you quite understand what it means.

anti-capitalism like anti-flag the band??? I agree with utterly hating seeing the American flag upside down though, I think it's incredibly disrespectful, but what other country in the world would allow you to do such a thing without throwing you in jail or sentencing you to death?? And no, Canada and Switzerland don't count! ......neither does Austria or anyone else who has a simple flag you can flip and never know

    Its a dyno jet.

The upside down flag is a sign of distress which a lot of Americans are feeling right now b/c of the leadership our country is in and the way things are going or appear to be going. The upside down flag is by no means a disrespect to the flag or America as a country, its a sign of support when things appear to be not so well. Feel free to look it up.

All politics aside should be a fun dyno run

it already pulled 340 on a dyno jet on the old combo and no tune and with picking up 3.5 MPH in the 1/4 w/ the new combo there is no way this is pulling 325.

How much compression? On a dyno jet i'm saying 370ish HP/ 400ish TQ if you have low compression be ready to be disapointed! I sure the hell was! peace

The Compression is 9:0:1 Im not expecting massive numbers either. 380 is just a high set goal its not what I "expect". Id be happy as hell with 370. Im only basing the 380 on the fact of the past dyno # 0f 340 and I ran the quarter at 107.61 and with the new combo I was running at 110.87 w/ out a tune on both combo's so I think it has the "potential" to hit 380 but we will have to wait and see :D

The way that map quest showed took us down Route 101 then onto 93. The guy Im coming down with has GPS so Im not sure exactly which way we will end up going. Im meeting up wiht him at 6:30 in south Portland so we will probably end up taking the quicker way to get there even though its a little longer distance wise

my best 1/8th mile pass was on the old combo at 8.262 @ 83.45MPH but my 60' was pretty good on that run, on the new combo the best 1/8th run is 8.413 @ 86.97. Heading out of here soon, sucks that its raining out but the weather appears to be breaking early this morn so the ride home should be nice.
