does anyone know if there is any reason to use an h or x pipe after equal length shorty headers or is it ok to have a custom exhaust made from each header straight back to a flowmaster on each side right out the back
Having a cross over of any sort greatly increases performance. Whether or not you should have an X or an H is ambigous. There is data on the internet saying one is better than the other and visa versa. Just make sure there is some sort of cross over. You can't build a custom exhaust for the cost of a proper cross over intermediary. I've seen H-pipes go for as little as $20 on ebay. Having a straight exhaust also sounds like ****.
