So theres a problem.
Insurance didn't total the car. They're paying $3750
The nose is tweaked and the body needs alot of attention.
The shop said they would color match mirrors, straighten the nose...even replace the radiator support.
But they want an additional $3000 out of my pocket.
I was assured it will be showroom condition.
But damn $3000 extra?

In most cases, the insurance company will only cut you a check to fix damages and blend paint. The condition of the rest of the car isn't really their problem. My car was wrecked last year, and the insurance check I got did cover the damages (and that only because I was able to score a used door on craigslist for $50), however, the rest of the cost of the new paint job I'm having done, dent repair on the entire car, new hood, etc, is coming to about $5000 out of my pocket. Not to say that's cheap, but the $3000 out of your pocket sounds about right. The check I got from my accident was only about $1500 anyway. The damage to my car wasn't as bad as yours.
