yea it must just be the way the cars are built cause i test drove a 2010 ss today and it didnt feel as fast as my old z either and didnt really feel any faster than my gt granted i didnt get on it to hard
the drive by wire on the 05+ stangs is what makes them feel slow. no punch off the line. have a race tune written for it and your feelings will change about which one feels faster
Your LT1 may feel "snappier" by comparison, but when it comes down to brass tax, the Z28 is a mid/low-14 second car and your GT is a mid/high-13 second car. There's no arguing with the clock.
As stated the mustang torque curve is deceiving............feels slow. I felt the same way when I first test drove and the purchased my car. It just felt slow, but ran a 13.92 stock. Get a cai and a real tune and take off a half second off your 1320 times. It did for me.
