header tank question

I built a header tank to control fuel-slosh in my '65 5.0EFI. Fabricated it from 3" steel tubing to hold about 0.4 gallons of fuel, with appropriate inlet and outlet ports, TIG welded it all up, then POR-15'd the outside. It'll tuck up behind the rear splash pan, alongside the fuel tank on the passenger side (well above the tailpipe). Pretty pleased with the results.

Here's the question - for a steel header tank that will presumably be almost totally full of fuel most or all of the time, do I need to worry about corrosion inside? Should I coat with Kreem or POR's tank sealer, or just run it bare inside and assume that the constant presence of fuel is rust-deterrent enough?

What do you guys think?
