So my limited slip has been going out for a while now. I was talking about it with some of my friends that have Jeeps. They told me instead of using a limited slip or buying a "locker" they just weld their gears and it does the same thing. So they gave me a quick how-to and I decided to tackle it this weekend. They said I didn't have to take it apart to do it but since this is my daily driver and I couldn't have anything go wrong I decided to disassemble it to clean everything for the best results. It was my first time taking the cover off, nevermind disassembling it but I thought I did a good job. It only took me 2 days. It was a complete pain in the ass getting everything back in with the gears welded, kind of wish I didn't take it apart, but I finally got it to go with a big hammer. Finally got it all back together yesterday. Went to take it for a test drive and the car won't move. I even tried revving it and dumping the clutch cause I thought it just had more traction now. It just makes a loud bang and stalls everytime. I really need help this is my daily driver.
