high flow fuel pump - cause worse gas mileage?

Little background...the fuel pump on my 2001 Ford ranger 4.0 died so I ended up replacing it with a 155 walbro unit. It doesn't have any mods but I used the walbro pump because of the cost. The walbro pump was 80 compared to 250+ most places wanted for the stock pump.

My fiance primarily drives the truck and she has said its been getting worse gas mileage. I haven't gotten a chance to check it yet but is this even possible? I always thought that with the stock injectors and the stock regulator, the size of the pump shouldn't matter.

The pump shouldn't make any difference. It's probably something else.

Probably just needs a tuneup. Our Xterra's gas mileage goes down when it's over due for an oil change.
