I'm currently rewiring my engine compartment and trying to hide all of the wires. I'm trying to decide if I should relocate the solenoid or if I can eliminate it. I have one of the new high torque mini starters, but it does not have a provision for the "I" terminal. I do have an electronic MSD distributer and MSD-6AL box (I have not wired them yet).

Please provide me with your knowledge!!

Yes you can.

I have a PMGR mini-starter and ditched the big solenoid. The high current switching provided by the old bulky solenoid is no longer needed. A smaller Bosche type relay is sufficient. I put mine under the heater and ran the wires through a grommet.

With the MSD setup, you don't need the "I" terminal. Just check for an ignition source that is present while ignition key is on and cranking. You can bypass the pink resistor wire.
