this is one of the sickest sounding mustangs i have ever heard imo http://youtube.com/watch?v=CH_WXCThC34 i know my car will not sound like this one. totally different motor totally different setup. but i would like to find a set of mufflers/resonators that resembles this sound. my current setup is Mac shorties, O/R X pipe, spintech prostreets and tail pipes ( stock heads, cam etc ). i like the way it sounds, just considering something different. im thinking to get that raspy poppy loud sound, i will have to consider SLP loudmouth II's or Magnaflow magnapacks? i want to maintain my same setup, just swap out the mufflers. i want it LOUD but i still want it to have a tone, just like cobra in the video. any idea what borla stingers would sound like on a 5.0? of course, they would be hard to find. any ideas guys?

The sound you are describing that you want is exactly what a dr gas o/r x and spintech pro streets do. I couldnt think of a better combo. Before I did my turbo I had that setup along with bbk longtubes and I had numerous people tell me it was the best sounding mustang they'd ever heard. And these were people with high $ blown stangs themselves. Idk, personally that cobra doesnt sound all that great to me. As far as I am concerned the best sounding mustang you will ever hear is a mustang with a big 'ole TURBOOOOO.
minus my x pipe being Dr Gas brand ( which i have heard these are the best ), i have that same exhaust now. maybe my car sounds better than i think it does i do get alot of compliments
you must be old im just kiddin' buddy. if the car was a daily driver, i agree...it would be annoying after a while. i absolutely LOVE the way it sounds tho. he's not even in the throttle all that much and it sounds just nasty
lol i am old and bald too (mostly) at least i can laugh at myself at this point, i just want my exhaust to make some sound, any sound ... that would mean i am finally driving the damn car ...

your probably right about the straight-thru design. im unsure if i like that particular note or not. would like to hear a drive by of it

That's the setup I have but haven't installed yet.. BBK lt's, off road H, and borla stingers out the side My cam isn't in yet either, but will be quite a bit lopier than dans..
