Yea, I'm the Bright Blue 2000 GT running around Osan. How often you get over here? You out-processing over here? I actually work up in Seoul and do the daily commute, but I live here in the Osan area (behind the phone co.).smokin'Red35th said:Camp humphreys, Im a GSU assigned to osan. FYI, it costs about 65 dollars for 3 dyno pulls here.

I think i read somewhere in KBs tech that 400 is right around the threshold of staying safe. Im sure some cars can take more, some less, but on stock internals i would be afraid to go much more than that, even on a good tune. 400 is alot of power.kirkyg said:More like do whatever it takes to keep it from detonating. Your engine will last plenty of time as long as there is no pinging. But when your start pushing past 9 psi on 93-94 octane your gonna hear the loud sound sooner or later.

Thanks for the advice, i ll have my car dynoed as soon as i remove my front bumper.DeadLurker said:trust me...dyno it with a/f
there is no way they can be 100% sure that the tune is perfect. You just gotta be sure before you start boosting it all over the place
Also flooring it in 5th gear is a no no...puts too much load on the car.
Thanks, i plan to go to Sacramento race way next wed, i ll post the time and dyno as soon as i get it04Cobra said:Congrate and right choice u choose. waiting for 1/4 time & dyno

Yes, the tune is most important. Don't let it ping and it'll last a hell of a lot longer; good gas and a good tune. The 400 limit everyone mentions is based on... other peoples experiance, but you can blow your motor at 350 or 450. It all depends on the individual car, the setup and tune, and your driving style. If the thought of racing comes into your head then it's a no brainer to forge everything, but if your a typcial daily driven street car, you can make it last with common sense.KaPPaBaLL said:just make sure you're tune is a good one. and buy the 9psi kit! didn't know they had white people living in Seoul.. lol
