Two separate incomes, two separate banking accounts. It's the only way.
A guy I know stores his GT-500 at the local Ford dealership. Didn't want his wife to find out, so he bought it and just didn't tell her
I laugh every time I think about it... hahahaha, can you imagine!!! "Hey honey I'm taking the minivan out for a nice Sunday cruise" then proceed to drive to the dealership to pick up your GT-500...
My wife is a bookkeeper, and she knows where very penny gets spent. About 8 years into our marriage, she started complaining about my having spent 10K on the 89 GT I had at the time. Her complaint was that I was always spending money on the car. The car was paid for long before I ever met her, so I got out my pencil & calculator and did some figuring. The 10K divided by 8 years works out to be $104.16 a month. Cheaper than car payments for sure. After I showed her that, I heard no more complaints about spending money on my car.

You remind her how much her wedding ring costs...
I just kind of handle it as easier to ask forgiveness than ask permission.
Not married, but have a fiance.
I have the fox, an F250 that I rarely drive, two jet skis, and a 30' boat. She enjoys using the boat, doesn't care for the jetskis, will drive the truck if it's the last resort, and from time to time likes to go for a ride in the fox. Can't really ask for more.
I feel bad for the guys whos wives boss them around. .... We don't fight about it. It is what it is.
hows the car running? Any new parts for it?
