what should i use for mine thats got 172,000 on clock and yes its all original motor and yes i flog the junk out of her. oh ive broke the factory borg-warner t45 and now it sports a 2001 factory tremec t45. i did replace the junk all plastic intake for the one with aluminum coolant runner.

I saw a comparison article saying heavier oils produce higher pressure but the difference isn't significant. Thin flows easier but this doesn't necessarily mean higher pressure. Other things equal, thinner oil would have a slightly lower pressure.

Idt it matters much if you keep it clean.but dont u think thinner oil builds oil pressure faster and flows better during start ups?

There was something said about the thicker oil could kill the valves. 5-20 is recommended on my year(02). Regardless I let the engine come up to temp before I exceed 2500rpms.(Prochargers instructions)
And I do not do high revs with a cold engine
