I don't know if this is the correct place to post, so please move if needed.

I just purchased an '05 Mustang gt 5 speed. I'd like to start by saying I LOVE this car! I have several different questions, and things Id like to do to it. I figured I could just list them and you guys may be able to point me in the right direction. Some things I'd like to start doing are:
    Racing stripe kit
    exhaust
    gt scoop
    louvers for quarter windows
    short throw shifter

These are about the only things I want to do as of right now. Also, another question I had was what is an estimate on what a stock 5speed gt car should run in the quarter mile? Ive got a friend with a nova just dieing to race me, but I want to make sure I wont get smked too bad first:rolleyes: Thanks for any and all help!

MGW short throw shifter I love mine. Silver horse racing flush mount quarter window louvers the best IMHO [in my humble opinion]. Slp axle back exhaust ,power flow or loud mouth. Another option on exhaust in magna flow cat back very aggressive sound without being too obnoxious. Can't help you with the stripes or scoop don't have em on my car and don't want to give you bad advice on something I hav'nt used.Welcome to the site.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to :SNSign:
I definitely agree the SHR flush mounts are awesome (I have and love them)! A little pricey, but are a great product from a great American company:flag: Exhaust is one of the trickiest subjects with the S197s! There are countless threads with videos and opinions on what sounds good or not... Search and find what you like. If at all possible, try and look up others in your area to hear them in person! I bet there are many of us who have swapped out exhaust components at least twice or more (I've had two sets of mufflers and mid pipes on mine and now have the sound I really like). A tuner and custom tune really wakes these cars up! Bamachips or Brenspeed are two big places to get those from and have great results depending on who you talk to. I've used both and prefer Bamachips (I had the chance to have Doug dyno tune my car) and his tunes haven't let me down yet! Baltimore Street Mods and graphic-express are two decent places to get stripe kits from.

I've seen many stock Mustangs both manual and automatic run consistent times of 13.7-13.8 in the 1/4mile. Magnaflow is an excellent choice of muffler, it's one of the few aftermarket systems that doesn't resonate like a can on an import. You should look into a 95mm cold air intake with an SCT tuner, underdrive pulleys to start off that should put a large smile on your face and bring the car down to the 13.3 range.
Anyway welcome and enjoy the car.
