Anybody know where i can get poly spring insulators fast and not too expensive. I'm gonna call Ford tomorrow but I doubt they have poly ones. I want them for the front and rear Any help would be great Thanks
I see you are in PA, so I think the above is correct. Summit would be your best bet for fast. Not sure how cheap though. If you want the red ones, make sure you specify that. A lot of people want red and end up with black. Just in case you want to have a certain color.
I got mine from discount direct. One of their warehouses is local though so they delivered them the same day.
poly's are cheap and when I pulled off my stockers they looked like they were pulled through a shredder.
My stoocekr upper and lowers in the rear and uppers i the front were all in great shape.... Still on the ground outside if anyone needs them...
Does anyone know what the rubber tubes in the center of the springs are for? I took mine out cause they were filthy and didn't feel like puttin them back in.
My rears look like **** so i'm replacing them all while i got it apart. I'm using Energy stuff so thats what I'd like to stick with other then what the ones are in my rear control arms all my bushings are gonna be Energy ones CMX i was wondering the same thing when i looked at the pics. What are them things for?
I just went to PEP Boys out here in SoCal, and they stock the energy stuff. Don't know if they have one out there, but if they do, check it out.
lol I went there today tried to ask them questions on a couple things and they were like umm let me see heres the kit. Called the number and got the price for the full energy kit. I was like ok whatever I got the part numbers out of their book. Checking the cost through summit right now gonna compare it with pepboys online and see whos cheaper.
Well beings Pepboys's website is so gay and it brings up different things for the part numbers that i know are right i decided to go with summit. Can anybody think of anythine else i need before i place my order so far i have Front Control Arm Bushings Coil Spring Isolators and Isolator Sets (rear) Coil Spring Isolators and Isolator Sets (front) Sway Bar End Link Set Sway Bar Bushings I hear there are rear sway bar bushings too are they the same as the front might as well do them too while i'm at it Anybody think of anything else before I place my order I have to wait on them tosend me my password cause I haven't ordered from them in a long time and i forget it Thanks for your help guys
I don't recall any rear sway bar bushings. The rear sway is bolted to the lower control arms. Your list is pretty complete.
well I'll check it out today with everything on the list i'm looking at 135.92 more then i wanted to pay but i knew it would be high beings i'm going with energy stuff. Like I told my dad this morning I'd rather replace it all now then just do some things and have them wear funny and have to replace that part again plus buy the other part that i didn't do in the first place. I just hope after all this money and work i'm putting into this thing it feels like i'm driving a cloud lol. People say just replacing my shock/struts it will feel a lot better then with all this it should be amazing
Well parts are ordered. I got an email saying they had a problem with my credit card but i called and i gave them a wrong number when i typed it in stupid 3 digit numer on the back of the card theres a strach right through the last number so i wasn't sure what it was. I called them up gave him the 2 options and he goes thats it that one works. They told me most of the stuff was coming form their place in ohio but my end links are coming from nevada no big deal ain't ready for the front stuff right now anyway. With only like 20 days left I don't think i'm getting it done for my florida trip which totally sucks but **** happens I guess, nothing ever happens the way i want it to with that car
