OK im pretty sick of police attention. I need a quiet set of mufflers. Right now i have Mac Chambered mufflers that come with the catback system. Anything quiet??? I mean like Corvette quiet.

    Anything guys?

Oh yeah....and they need to flow well too!

maybe a turbo style muff? I think Magnaflow makes some fairly quiet offset muffs. Or maybe like a "delta flow" flowmaster or a 50 series flowmaster....

I don't think there's a whole lotta demand for a quiet Mustang muffler lol. Most guys want more attention like me, I'm goin from blowmasters to Magnapacks... :D

Its B/S....i just beat a case for mufflers with state police in January!!!

Yeah i need it to be very very quiet....Heard flowmaster has a HUSH muffler.

Borla pro xs are some of the quietest mufflers around that still flow VERY well, probably better than most, i have heard them on strokers with no cats and they sound tame but still have a performance tone...I might be getting these as a matter a fact VERY soon for my motor.

If i take the offroad x pipe off and put the MAC h-pipe with high flow cats that i already have back on.....and some dynomax super turbos??? You guys think the cops wont pull me over???? Keep in mind that when cops pull me over im just idling in traffic or doing the speed limit usually.

Car has to get inspected in June....so i think i'm going to bolt the smog pump back up and connect it to the smog port on the H pipe.

Yeh super turbos will be quiet and deep sounding...Ive only had them on chevy cars...they sounded really good to me....I had full length headers and no cats and it was a chevy but quieter and deeper sounding then anything I had on the set up...Id assumer with a high flow cats and super turbos you should have a quiet car probably not much louder than stock?

    Hi. I'm in...Delaware.
I had an '86 GT on which the previous owners had replaced two of the factory cats with high-flow units along with super turbo mufflers in place of the stockers. It wasn't extremely loud at all, but it sounded great.

    In my O :)

You gotta be careful about a lot of this info
    and
    Stick to common sense :nice:

Everybody has their own idea of what is loud and whats not :rlaugh:

A guy says his such and such muffler is quiet
    but
He has only a bolt on or two

A different guy using the same muffler with h/c/i and offroad mid pipe
    well
He says his e system is pretty loud

Here are a few things you can know are a known ;)

No cats will make ANY muffler more loud
    and
Cats will tame down ANY muffler

More power will mean more noise :D

I still run the stock catback

I had a mild oem based combo with self ported E7's and the like

When I went to my all aftermarket combo ......
I could not believe how much more noise the same e system made

Hey ... if you are gonna go with some cats ..........

You might wanna see how much the cats tame things down with your
current muffs before you buy different muffs

    Good idea Grady:nice:

Seeing how i have a "bolt in h pipe" it wouldnt take more than a couple jack stands and an 11/16 wrench to find out. I really dread cutting up my Mac Catback system!!!

Grady you are a talented smiley user!!! ;)

I know its a Grady post before seeing your name at the bottom by use of your signature expressions after every sentence. :p

    You make every post illustrated!!!

    I Gradied my Post!!! :stick:

But honestly i respect your opinions Grady!!!:nice:

Wait am i allowed to use 2 of the same smilies in 1 post?

    Oh well thanks,
    Chris

:hail2: EXACTLY. I noticed this when I went h/c/i on 306 AND on the 414. Both times louder x 2. CORSA RED muffler for the win.:nice: Quiet until you hit WOT but nice sounds all along too. NO DRONE! :nice::SNSign:
