receiver hitch

I have a receiver hitch on my stang
I don't know if it came factory or if some idiot put it on before i bought it
wanna know if i can saefly take it off without hurting anything i.e. the frame


seems like dead weight so i want to take it off
what do yall think

that was a very rare option on the RN mustang. I am afraid to ask what other options your car has.

Seriously, (I am just kidding) - i would take a look, but i see no reason why you cant remove it. I am afraid to ask how it is attached to the frame though.
