Just installed a grannitelli front shaft loop on my 09 Bullitt. We did'nt realize that we should have removed the heat shields as per the picture. We were able to catch threads on the studs after a percussive adjustment of heat shield. My question is this if I remove the heat shields and what looks like a felt type sound damping material can I dynomat the area around the shaft loop without fear of the dynomat melting from heat of long tubes? Clearence is 1.5" to 2" all around if not a bit more.

They make Dynamat for under the hood, so I'd say yes, you could use it with no worries under the car.
