OK, I already know that the SN bellhousing is 3/4" longer to match the trans on the car. My questions is WHERE is that extra 3/4 at?? Is it in front of the clutch arm, or behind it?? I would think it is behind it based on looking at the snout on the T5 I have sitting here Vs a Fox T5..

This may not seem like something important, but I am trying to figure out if I can make a spacer so that I can use a fox bellhousing with a SN trans. I have plenty of access to plate steel much cheaper than a new input shaft and bearing retainer....:flag: :SNSign:

Plus, wouldn't a Fox bell put the tranny too far forward? Or am I being to "detail oriented"?

You are, but details is where is at...

What it comes down to is I have a 88 notch and I am converting to V8 and putting a 5spd in it. I have a 94/95 trans sitting here and am very very low on $$ This is somewhat of a JY build in terms of budget, anything I can do myself I would rather do myself. I also like the idea of the shfter being back closer to me a little bit, make it easier to reach..
