Well, I finally got tp take the rearend apart. I snapped the axle just like originally thought. It broke right by the splines then twisted. I'll take a pic when I get my hands on a digital camera. I met a guy today that had a complete rearend and he sold the whole thing to me for $200. So, I'll be pullling the whole chunk out because we can't get the piece of the axle that broke off out with it still in. I'll check the chunk when we get it out to see if its damaged at all too.
