Those are 275 hoosier in that pic as well, equivalent to about a 295 from a regular tire

EDIT I was running M179 rims that have a 36mm offset, not the 24mm i mentioned earlier

unless you plan on banking the car through NASCAR style turns or taking corners like the batmobile there is no reason to run a front tire that size.

There are reasons to do it, if you plan on making the car handle well on a road course the bigger the tire, the more grip. You could get into the argument that its overkill, but if people didnt overbuild, it would be a really boring place around here.
