You're wrong. The syncro's are standard brass. The reason for using thin oil like ATF is because the oil passages are very small in all the components of the T-5.
Should I go to GM to get the syncromesh fuild? I need it for the TKO. Are there any inexpensive alternatives? What car should I say i have if they ask?
Today at Murry's i got some Mobil 1 synthetic ATF Dexron/Mercon. On the side it says Automatic Transmission fluid. Should i take it back or is it the same thing? its for a T5.
I use the cheap crap like 1.50 a quart. The fluid isn't pressurized or applied to clutchs (like someone already said) All it's there is for lubrication. All I see in syntectic is longer life, and less break down.
