Ive got a cam trick flow cam, i bought to go in my car. I just need to know if it will fit in engine without changeing anything major? Its a TRICK FLOW ROLLER CAM FOR 5.0 - 5.8 IT IS A STAGE 1 ROLLER CAM DURATION IS 275/279 LIFT IS .499/.510
It should definitely fit in a stock engine, but if you're putting it in with stock heads, I have a feeling you're going to be quite disappointed that you didn't pick up very much power.
Changing the cam if an awful lot of work to get sound.
I wouldn't do it.
Besides if your valve springs are old, the cam will help wear them down in no time.
Way back i made the mistake of putting a cam in my stock engine, it was senseless.
You WILL need springs!! IF you can change them out also.. you will have what you want! Just there will be more power with a set of heads or better intake is fitted!! cool??
